PANONIKA HARMONIKA 2011 - We break records!
The primary purpose of the festival, on which more than 20 music bands will appear from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary and Macedonia of different types of music, from folk to ethnic, is to emphasise the meaning and wide tradition of playing of accordion in different cultures of Pannonia and to stimulate socializing and connecting of its inhabitants.
The red thread which connects all the entertainers is accordion. Accordion is an instrument which frees us of all the fetters and burdens in everyday life. There is no village, town, square, city, where the sounds of accordion wouldn't spread happiness among young and old, there is no wedding and no vineyard cottage where it wouldn't sound from hill to hill and thus deeply anchor in our hearts.
Next to the excellent programme, the peak of socializing on the festival will be on Sunday, 28.08.2011, when amateur and professional accordion players, learners and masters of the accordion, admirers of accordion and all other who know how to stretch the bellows and to push the buttons or keyboards of accordion are invited. For – we will try to set up a new record for the Guinness book of records, that is to create the longest procession of accordion players in the world meaning approximately 1500 accordion players and we will play two songs together.
Let us meet on Sunday high noon so we will play together songs GOLICA by Avsenik and V DOLINI TIHI by Slak, both compositions in C, F, B, major.
